Frequently Asked Questions

Most frequent questions & answers about what I do at Daggett Photography

What do I get for my session fee?

It depends on what type of session you schedule with me. Check out the pricing sheets on my pricing page. Typical sessions come with around 10-20 images that have been professionally culled and retouched for maximum quality. Final high resolution images come in digital format on Google Drive or on a USB memory stick with printing recommendations. I can print images in house for a minimal fee. Images can be used for print or web but copyright belongs to Amy Daggett Photography.

Do you retouch old photographs?

Absolutely, I do. I recently wrapped up a project for a high school where the photographs were severely affected by sun fading and stains. Each photo required several days of meticulous work – scanning, color correcting, and digitally erasing all the stains. If you have an original printed photo suffering from color loss or quality issues and need it restored, I can handle the scanning, retouching, and reprinting. For pricing inquiries, feel free to reach out to me via the contact page on the website.

How much do you charge for business headshots?

It depends on what you need. Typically, a package of seven to ten headshots ranges between $250 to $350, influenced by factors like location and complexity. You’ll receive a personalized USB containing all the portraits for your versatile use.

Are you able to accommodate family sessions with more than 6 individuals?

Absolutely. My pricing structure varies depending on the complexity of the session. Managing a larger group can present unique challenges. The cost of the session is assessed after discussing expectations and meeting the entire family.

How long is a senior session?
And how many oufits can I bring to my session?

Senior sessions vary in duration, typically spanning between 45 minutes to an hour or even longer, contingent upon the client’s preferences. Greater wardrobe variations extend the session time, enhancing the diversity of captured moments. For a fulfilling senior session experience, it’s advisable to bring at least one change of attire. Additionally, incorporating props such as a cap and gown or sports equipment can add creative flair to the imagery.

How many pictures can I buy from my session?

You’ll receive a USB stick or a Google Drive link containing all the refined and enhanced images. In senior sessions, I typically review a minimum of 15 shots to select the top contenders. For business headshots, the number usually hovers around 7-10. Nevertheless, the quantity of chosen shots for other sessions fluctuates depending on the client’s preferences. Generally, I curate between 15 and 30 shots, customizing the selection to suit the specific session type.

Can you take and retouch product photos?
How much do you charge for retouching?

Yes, I can shoot products in-studio or on location depending on the desires of the client. I shoot a lot of products on white or backgrounds which I then create clipping paths for the client. Check out my pricing page for pricing on product photos and retouching.

Can you take photos for Etsy, Craigslist & Ebay?

I specialize in photographing items for Etsy and Ebay sellers. Feel free to reach out via email with your requirements, and I’ll coordinate the photo shoot accordingly. Additionally, I offer services for removing backgrounds and retouching photos to ensure a polished appearance. Many clients prefer the crisp, isolated look of products against a pristine white backdrop, which necessitates shooting in my studio. Pricing varies depending on the complexity of the task.

Do you photograph sporting events or team pictures?

Absolutely, I specialize in capturing on-location sporting events and team photos. I’m more than happy to provide you with a tailored quote for event photography to suit your specific requirements. Team photos are akin to family portraits, and pricing for sessions depends on the number of individuals in the photos and the team’s preferences. For sporting events, pricing is determined on an hourly basis. Feel free to reach out to me today to receive a personalized quote.

How many people can you shoot for a large group?

Groups of 6 to 25 individuals qualify as large groups. Simply drop me an email detailing your requirements, and I’ll coordinate the arrangements for your large group photographs. Pricing is contingent upon the number of participants in the session, with the general rule being that the larger the group, the higher the cost. Large group photo sessions tend to be more challenging and time-consuming endeavors.
